Christina Leung is currently the Team Lead Pharmacist for Women’s and Children at the Hillington Hospital NHS Hospital. She has extensive experience in Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology specialities gained from various teaching hospitals.
Christina has published two articles in the UK Pharmaceutical Journal titled “The principles of prescribing in pregnancy including the management of COVID-19 infection in pregnant women” and “Herbal medicines in pregnancy”, and an article in Asia Journal of Paeds, Obstetrics and Gynaecology relating to drugs use in hyperemesis and the roles of clinical pharmacist. In 2024, she will be publishing another article in UK Pharmaceutical Journal regarding using an holistic approach to manage patients with hyperemesis.
In 2021, Christina also submitted six chapters to Oxford Handbook of Clinical Pharmacy (4th ed) and four of them are relating to drugs use in pregnancy, breastfeeding, IVF, hyperemesis and herbal medicines.
From 2013 to 2017, Christina was the Honorary Lecturer at the University of Hong Kong to deliver lectures on drugs use in pregnancy and breastfeeding, as well as drugs use in paediatrics. She also helps to set exam paper.
Christina is an independent prescriber specialising in paediatric pain management. She also completed the postgraduate diploma in Pharmacy Practice at UCL and the postgraduate course at the University of Oxford relating to patient safety. In 2024, she has started a part-time Master course in the University of Oxford relating to quality improvement, leadership and patient safety.
