The latest on the treatment of migraine: what you need to know

Migraine is a highly prevalent debilitating neurological condition. It has significant associated healthcare costs and negatively impacts patients' lives. Whilst the pathophysiology has not been fully elucidated, there are a number of theories. The key to diagnosing migraines is by taking a through and excluding red flags. Migraines are managed with lifestyle adjustments, acute medication, and prophylactic medication.

1. Describe the different stages of a migraine attack
2. List some example migraine triggers
3. Identify someone at risk of medication overuse headache
4. Describe some migraine treatment options
