Dedalus backs call for more affordable, digital healthcare

Following an independent investigation of the NHS in England, on 12 September 2024 Lord Darzi released a report on the state of the National Health Service in England which prompted the new UK Government’s bold ambition to reform and modernise the NHS.

Our commitment to enhancing patient care and streamlining workflows aligns perfectly with this vision. As a global leader in healthcare technology, we share a deep commitment to improving patient care, reducing waiting lists, and enhancing staff satisfaction across the healthcare sector.

A GLOBAL LEADER

As a global leader in healthcare technology, we share a deep commitment to improving patient care, reducing waiting lists, and enhancing staff satisfaction across the healthcare sector.

Our ORBIS Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system is Europe’s leading EPR provider, serving more than 1,000 hospitals across France and Germany. ORBIS has been designed by Clinicians, for Clinicians, to streamline clinical workflows, enabling healthcare providers to work more efficiently and collaborate seamlessly across departments. This results in more personalised and timely care for patients, efficient care delivery and greater staff satisfaction.

We are proud to be recognised as the number one provider in the “2024 Best in KLAS: Software & Services for Acute Care Electronic Health Records (EHR)” in the DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) and in Southern Europe regions, as indicated in the 2024 Best in KLAS Awards – Global Software report.

Dedalus’ Enterprise Scheduling Platform, Swiftqueue, a leading supplier of clinical appointment scheduling in the UK and Ireland, is already working with over 80 customers across multiple specialties for booking, managing, and viewing healthcare appointments and results. Swiftqueue provides Clinician’s with vital information and insight to ensure, optimal work patterns, flexibility and improved patient communication, and the platform supports NHS management by increasing capacity and reducing the administration burden on clinics and hospitals

Our Terminology Service, which is used across both NHS England and NHS Scotland ensures accurate, standardised health data across disparate NHS systems, allowing for seamless integration and better communication among healthcare teams, putting joined up and consistent coded insight in the hands of NHS staff, as and when they need it. In July, Canada Health Infoway announced the launch of our collaboration to implement a managed service Terminology Server, set to enhance efficiency and effectiveness for users in accessing and utilising standardised terminologies and is fully compliant with the Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) standards.

Additionally, our award-winning OneResponse Mobile EPR delivers a coordinated and unified communication platform for ambulance staff, providing critical data to Clinicians anywhere, anytime, enhancing life-saving decision making and improving patient outcomes. In January, OneResponse proudly won ‘Frontline Digitisation Project of the Year’ for its partnership with North West Ambulance Service Trust, to which, since June 2023, it has provided real-time access to 3 million critical patient data records across more than 4,000 devices.

As the NHS embarks on its next chapter, we welcome constructive dialogue with the new government and NHS leadership to fully support and contribute to their vision for transforming our healthcare service.

Together, we can create a more affordable, agile, efficient, and patient-centred healthcare system, improving outcomes for both patients and staff alike.
